Tungsten Network recertified to ISO 27001 standard
(2016) Tungsten Network recertified to ISO 27001 standard

Tungsten Network announced today that it has been recertified to ISO 27001:2015 standard on its London and Kuala Lumpur (KL) offices. External auditors from LRQA, an independent provider of Business Assurance services, recently completed the audit of the London and KL offices that assesses the management and control of information security.
ISO 27001 is the international standard that promotes the security of information through a framework of controls and system management. Certification to this standard showcases that an organisation is following international information security best practices and validates that the company has procedures in place to protect against any potential threats to information. For Tungsten Network, this standard means that we proactively identify risks and vulnerabilities, and implement controls in a timely manner to ensure they are managed or reduced before causing any harm.
“The successful completion of this audit validates Tungsten Network’s continual committed to minimising the risks, to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information,” said Alphus Hinds, Manager Cyber Risk, Security & Compliance. “Our database contains vast reams of customer data, and the security of this information is paramount. Credentials such as the ISO 27001 help to assure our customers that we have mature governance, processes, technologies and controls, and that their data is safe with us.”
Tungsten Network services over 200,000 customers across the globe where third party assurances and standards are used to help customers understand risks, the processes used to manage those risks and the business and technology controls which operate to mitigate those risks. Commonly linked to security requirements and controls in technology, the ISO 27001 standard covers a wide set of processes and controls across the business and demonstrates the importance of the security of information throughout legal, technology, product, projects and customer relationship management.
“Due to the increase in cyber-attacks globally, the way organisations consume data and engage with their providers is evolving and trust is more critical than ever before,” said Rick Hurwitz, CEO, Tungsten Corporation. “Our mission has always been to deliver trusted connections and streamlined transactions for our clients so they can utilise data intelligently. This ISO 27001 certification is paramount in affirming that our customer’s confidential information is highly secure with us and they can trust our commitment to adhering to industry best practices for information security.”
