Stay compliant in India with Tungsten Network
Tungsten Network can support taxpayers adhere to the Indian governments’ e-invoicing mandate
The Indian government mandated e-invoicing in 2020. This mandate was rolled out in 5 stages, with impacted businesses being segmented by annual turnover.
Businesses that fall under the scope of this mandate must integrate their system with the Indian government’s Invoice Registration Portal (IRP). Invoices must be uploaded to the portal in JSON format. Upon clearance, the IRP will return the digitally signed e-invoice, with a IRN (Invoice Reference Number) and QR code to confirm authenticity.
All businesses in India with an annual turnover exceeding RS 5 crores were required to take action by August 1st, 2023.
After this date, all taxpayers affected by this mandate will be subject to financial penalties for the non-issuance of an e-invoice or for issuing an incorrect or erroneous e-invoice.
To ensure that our customers continue to receive a world-class e-invoicing service in India, Tungsten Network has been providing a compliant e-invoicing solution since the mandate was introduced in 2020.
Tungsten Network can connect directly to the IRP to clear invoices on behalf of our customers. Tungsten Network can also support customers who wish to clear invoices themselves by allowing them to upload their cleared JSON file to our portal. We will then produce a legal PDF including the IRN and QR code, and deliver it directly to the buyer.
Tungsten Network enables our customers to invoice compliantly and access rich data that is not available through government portals.
Tungsten Network provides this additional data, such as purchase order information, to help our customers improve internal processes and drive efficiency. We also validate invoices prior to submission, to improve data quality and ensure compliance with both fiscal and business requirements.
